Half-Day Meditation Retreat:

Death As An Ally:
How the Meditation on Death Empowers Us to Live Fully in the Moment

Saturday, January 31st, 10am-12:30pm
With Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher Gen Chöyang

Of all the meditations Buddha taught, it’s the meditation on death that leaves the deepest impression, strongly influencing our actions. This is because an abiding awareness of our own mortality is supremely clarifying: We stop obsessing over the small stuff and prioritize our life around what matters most. In this sense, the meditation on death is profoundly life-affirming. By training to be mindful of our mortality, death becomes an ally that helps us live our best life: Fully, joyfully, and meaningfully.

Take the opportunity to consider a Buddhist perspective that will help you find some peace that comes from wisdom and compassion. Everyone is welcome!
